Class Overview:

P.S. 290 Elementary School offers scholars the opportunity to learn about the different elements of the performing arts. Scholars engage in recitals, dance and movement, and musical theater. Scholars learn the ways in which artists rehearse, practice and develop their talents both on stage and behind the scenes. Scholars engage in grade-wide and school-wide productions of various curriculum topics. 

 

Assessment:

Scholars at different grade levels are assessed formally and informally to differentiate the instruction. Scholars participate in a variety of performances including music, dance, and theatre.
